Licensing

Originally AutoCount Accounting allows for 500 transactions to be recorded when doing evaluation on the software. However we found that this limitation is unsuitable for users who are trying to run field testing to see how AutoCount Accounting will work under real business scenario. This is no longer the case as we are now allowing prospective users to do an evaluation of our software up to a period of 3 months. The following guide will show you how to obtain this temporary license:

Step 1: Ensure that the billing address, phone number and company name of your company profile is filled as they will be use to create your license. To do this, navigate to the General Maintenance -> Company Profile menu.

Step 2: Navigate the Tools -> Program Control -> License Control to access the License Control window. In this window, click on the Open Account Book Registration.

Step 3: You will be greeted by the Account Book Registration Wizard window, just click next to continue the registration process.

Step 4: In the next window, you must obtain a Product ID before you may proceed with the registration. To do this, click on the “Get a Product ID” button. This will cause a Dealer Login window to prompt up. Just enter the following information into the window and press OK.
User ID: autocount
Password: 751600

Step 5: Entering the information previously mentioned will cause the Product ID and Dealer Code to be automatically filled, just click Next to continue.

Step 6: Next you can choose the edition you wish to evaluate, as well as any additional modules that you may wish to evaluate together. When you are done with the selection, click Next to continue.

Step 7: In the following window, enter the number of concurrent network users, internet users as well as how long the temporary license is for the Account Book. Note: The longest period for evaluation available is 3 months. When you are done entering the required data, click Next to continue.

Step 8: At the final window, click on the “Request License Automatically” button to send the request. Note: This requires that the computer submitting the request to be connected to the internet before submitting the request.

Step 9: When the request has been submitted and processed, you will receive a prompt stating that you have successfully registered your Account Book to the temporary license and that it will expire at the end of the validity period selected earlier.

Step 10: The Registered License Detail window will open to show you the result of the registration that you did before. Just click Close after reviewing it.

When the registration for the temporary license is done you will notice that the license line at the bottom half of the main window will change from:

This signifies that the registration is complete and that you can continue on with your evaluation of our software.
